Deerbrook is a sponsored project of Fractured Atlas, a non-profit arts service organization. Contributions for the purposes of Deerbrook must be made payable to Fractured Atlas and are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

A few things your support can help the press do:

• to advocate for authors and artists by publishing their work in well designed trade books and by maintaining a presence on the Web
• to promote their work through marketing and publicity, and by applying for awards
• to connect authors with a wider audience through their publications

Part of the Mission

To advance literacy through publishing creative writing that is inventive, experimental, and relevant to the experience and thoughts of the contemporary reader.

To be an advocate for the arts by bringing writers and artists places they have not been before and by bringing the community something they didn't know they had.

Enabling writers by producing well designed trade books. A well designed professional looking book presents authors in a way that an audience can take seriously and allows for marketing and promotion or for an author to use as professional support material when applying for fellowships or grants. Many writers have furthered their writing careers through their books as a way of getting into book stores, readings, seminars, performances, teaching, etc.; a well designed trade book can be used as a class book, entered into competitions, or help get interviews on radio shows.
